Johnny Marks (6a-10a)

Athletic, handsome, fun loving outdoorsmen… These are all words that don’t describe Johnny Marks. A Minnesota native, Johnny has also done broadcasting in Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota. He has a strong affection for all things Batman and Oreos. Catch Johnny alongside Cari talking about everything happening in Mankato, plus keep up with the latest celebrity trash in Hollywood.

Cari (6a-10a)

Cari considers herself very lucky being able to make a living as an On-Air Talent and Voice-Over Artist for over 15 years in the community she grew up in. “We’ve got great listeners who also want the best for their families,” she says. “I thrive on taking pride in our home town and giving back by volunteering for local charities.” Some of these charities include LEEP, Kiwanis Holiday Lights, American Heart Association and the Salvation Army. When she’s not working, Cari loves planting flowers and painting the various wood projects her fiance builds.  She also enjoys chasing after their 3 kids.

Stunt Monkey (10a-3p)

Stunt Monkey has been in radio since he was 16 shoveling snow, filling the pop machine, and painting radio towers. When Stunt isn’t on-air or emceeing any of our many events, you can find him hosting bar trivia. Outside of work he enjoys baseball, hockey, volunteering, time with friends, biking, hiking, camp fires, and riding his motorcycle. He is also the Promotions & Intern Director for Radio Mankato. Stunt is currently on-air weekdays 10:00 a.m. – 3 p.m. talking music, pop culture, sports, food, and outdoors!

Ty James (3p-7p)

Ty James is from San Diego, California, but has lived and worked in Minnesota for the past 20 years (thats a long time without hopping on a surfboard!). Music has always been a part of his life. Ty was the lead singer in a band in the mid-90’s, and has collaborated or performed with some big names: Jewel, Beck, Stone Temple Pilots, No Doubt, Jacob Dylan, and Salvador Santana, among many others. Ty is the epitome of a “sports junkie” – he played 3 seasons of professional baseball in Mexico! He has also coached baseball and football on the youth and high school level. But Ty’s favorite thing in the world is being a dad. He has a teenage son, Isaac – and the two are truly ‘partners in crime’. A total animal lover, Ty claims that he can communicate with dogs and cats, and would’ve been a vet had it not been for radio.
