The Carnegie Art Center is excited to announce its 2nd annual brunch fundraiser, Luminous: An Art Brunch Celebrating Impressionism. The Impressionism-themed brunch is set to take place on Saturday, May 3rd from 10am to noon at The Carnegie Art Center located at 120 S Broad Street in Mankato. This event celebrates the continued growth and expanded programming at the Carnegie Art Center.

The ‘Luminous’ event will include delectable food, artful themed drinks, live art demonstrations, and musical performances. Guests will be invited to immerse themselves in the world of the late 1800’s art movement of Impressionism while supporting the Carnegie Arts Center. One of the highlights of the event will be the mystery art pull, where attendees will have the opportunity to acquire original artworks donated by local artists. This exciting activity adds an element of surprise and anticipation to the event. New to the event this year is a best dressed contest. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best ethereal elegant attire!

“We are thrilled to host ‘Luminous: An Art Brunch Celebrating Impressionism’, since our inaugural event in 2024 our programming has continued to expand and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome guests back into our space for a morning of art and celebration.” said Charlie Leftridge,
Executive Director of the Carnegie Art Center. “This event not only allows us to showcase the vibrant art scene in our community but also supports our mission of promoting arts and culture to a wider audience. We invite art enthusiasts and supporters alike to join us for a memorable day filled with
creativity and inspiration.”

Tickets for “Luminous” are available for purchase at carnegiemankato.org, with proceeds directly benefiting the Carnegie Art Center’s programming and outreach efforts.
