Company Pays $1.5M To MN Facility
(St. Paul, MN) — A company is paying up after being sued for violating child labor laws in Minnesota and seven other states. The U.S. Department of Labor said Packers Sanitation Services Inc. paid more than one-and-a-half million dollars in penalties to slaughterhouses and meat packing facilities today. This comes after an investigation revealed the company allowed over 100 children to work overnight shifts in dangerous conditions.
