Democrats continue their hard push today (Thurs) to put abortion rights into Minnesota law, with what could be the final hearing (830am) before a House floor vote, plus a second committee debate (1230pm) in the state Senate.  Hamline University analyst David Schultz says he suspects Democrats are doing it for a couple reasons:

“Want to be able to have this bill signed and delivered by the anniversary of the Roe versus Wade decision.”

…which is January 22nd — but Schultz says another likely objective…

“I think what they’re trying to do is to get this passed as quickly as possible, before mobilization against it really starts to take off.”
