Final State Trial In George Floyd Killing Wrapping Up
(Minneapolis, MN) — The final state trial related to the death of George Floyd is wrapping up. Attorneys filed closing arguments yesterday in a stipulated facts trial for former Minneapolis police officer Tou Thao. Thao opted to forego a jury trial and let a judge decide his guilt or innocence on a charge of aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter. He is already serving three-and-a-half years in federal prison after a jury convicted him of depriving Floyd of his constitutional rights.
