Grand jury indicts Guenther Boon Jr. in December homicide investigation

A Blue Earth County grand jury indicted Guenther Boon Jr. on five counts in the December 21, 2024, murder of Darious Johnson. The indictment includes counts of murder in the first degree, murder in the second degree, possessing a firearm with no serial number and possession without a permit.

According to Jeremy Clifton, Director of Mankato Department of Public Safety, “We are pleased with the grand jury’s decision. I would like to thank Public Safety staff and all those who work hard every day to bring those who commit violent crimes in our community to justice, holding them accountable for their actions.”
