Kato Go Play wraps up successful 2025 season with record ridership
- City of Winthrop issues Shelter in Place due to ongoing incident
- Minnesota school districts and early childcare centers can start applying for grants to pay for locally sourced meals produced in the state. Program Coordinator Kate Seybold (see-bold) with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) says there’s nearly one point three-five million dollars this year, an increase from last year’s million dollars. Seybold says the extra money came in the budget passed by the state legislature. Applications for the food are due by October 23rd.
- Regions Hospital is doing its best to make sure Minnesota State Fairgoers have a safe and enjoyable experience. Dr. Aaron Burnett says they have medical tents on either end of the fairgrounds from open to close. Those tents will be staffed with E-M-Ts, paramedics, nurses, and a physician on call. Burnett says they’re expecting more than two million people to attend the fair this year, so they’ve prepared for all types of incidents. The State Fair officially kicked off Thursday and runs through Labor Day, September 1st.
