- City officials in Mendota Heights say their new speed camera is up and running. It’s part of a state pilot project to stop speeding on residential streets. The thirty-day warning period started this week, which means drivers going more than ten miles per hour over the speed limit will be sent a warning. Police say the goal is to issue very few warnings and even fewer forty-dollar citations after the warning period. Minneapolis plans to begin using speed limit enforcement cameras next month.

Officials say she began eating berries immediately after her release and received ear tags for later identification.

MACC says on average, they have four hundred animals staying in their facility each month. The hours for adoption on Wednesdays are from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
