Man Gets 20 Years For Driving Car Into Protestors, Killing One In MN

(Minneapolis, MN)  —  A Minnesota man is getting 20 years in prison for killing a woman after driving his SUV through a crowd of protestors.  A judge sentenced Nicholas Kraus after he pleaded guilty to unintentional second-degree murder for the death of Deona Marie in June of last year.  At the time, the activist was in Minneapolis to protest the deadly shooting of Winston Smith at the hands of police.  Kraus was also given over three years for second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.  The sentences will run concurrently.
