Mankato accepting applications for Special Event Support Grant

Applications are being accepted for Mankato’s Special Event Support Grant from now through 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5. The grant is designed to help not-for-profit organizations develop successful events that build strong connections and a vibrant community.

Minimum requirements include:

• take place in a public place/city-owned property
• must be above and beyond the club/group’s normal operating activities
• demonstrate financial or in-kind support from other funding sources or self-generating income activities that will support the event
• provide City with report within 60-days of the event
