The Minnesota School Counselors Association (MSCA) has named Heather Krause of Mankato East High School as the 2025 Minnesota High School Counselor of the Year.

Krause received the award on October 27th during the MSCA Annual Conference. She was nominated by colleagues for her dedication to student success and her ongoing efforts to support academic, career, and personal growth among students at Mankato East. A statewide selection committee reviewed nominations and selected one counselor from each level for this honor.
