An October event that has attracted thousands of bicyclists in Mankato since 2011 has been canceled due to a contract dispute between its organizers.

The Mankato River Ramble’s Founder Richard Arey owns the name and walked away from talks about this year’s River Ramble event when the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota wanted to work with a lawyer in contract negotiations.

The Greater Mankato Bike and Walk Advocates is a local chapter of the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota.
