MAPS Students Earn Recognition at Minnesota DECA State Career Development Conference
Seventeen students from Mankato East High School participated in the annual Minnesota DECA State Career Development Conference in Minneapolis, MN, from March 2-4, 2025. The event brought together over 6,000 high school students across Minnesota to compete in more than 70 events focusing on entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality, marketing, and other related fields.
After qualifying earlier this year, Mankato East students showcased their skills in competitive events that simulate real-life business scenarios, testing their academic understanding and abilities. Among the district’s standout students, Guillaume Bibbee earned top honors for his performance in two events:
- 1st Place – Employment Interview – Advanced Level
- 3rd Place – Personal Financial Literacy
As a result of his impressive achievements, Guillaume Bibbee will represent Mankato East at the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, FL, this April. The conference will bring together more than 22,000 top students from around the world, making it the pinnacle of DECA competition.
