Minor Injuries Reported in 2 Vehicle Crash at GFW Schools Tuesday
On September 23rd, 2025 at 8:00 AM, Sibley County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported 2-vehicle crash on MNTH 19 in front of the entrance/exit road to Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop School (GFW), 1157 East 13th Street, Gibbon. Benji Steiner (24) of Winthrop, was driving a 2016 Ford Explorer westbound on MNTH 19 when it collided with a 2008 Pontiac G6 passenger car, driven by a juvenile from Fairfax. The juvenile was attempting to exit GFW property to travel eastbound on MNTH 19, when it entered right-of-way traffic, resulting in the crash. Steiner and the juvenile reported possible minor injuries which didn’t require immediate medical attention.
