MnDOT seeks public input on Highway 99 Le Center design alternatives
The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an open house on Tuesday, May 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., to learn about a future project planned on Highway 99 through Le Center, as well as provide feedback on design alternatives. The open house will be held at the Le Center City Hall (10 W. Tyrone St., Le Center).
There will be no formal presentation. Attendees will be able to talk with project staff and share input on a variety of concepts. Those unable to attend the open house are able to view the design alternatives and provide feedback through an online survey by visiting the project website at mndot.gov/d7/projects/hwy99lecenter
MnDOT is planning for a future project on Highway 99 in Le Center from Maple Ave. to Cordova Ave. Beyond addressing pavement needs, MnDOT is considering opportunities for safety, bicycle/pedestrian accommodations, and other improvements. In collaboration with the City and input from the community, MnDOT will evaluate the corridor, develop design alternatives, and arrive at a layout for a project tentatively planned for 2029 construction.
