North Mankato Firefighters Relief Association Receives $10,000 Grant from Proper No. Twelve

The North Mankato Firefighters Relief Association is excited to announce the department has been awarded a $10,000 One For All grant from Proper No. Twelve. This grant will allow key upgrades to be made including the purchase of extra sets of turnout gear. Firefighters’ gear becomes contaminated with hazardous toxins when used for firefighting and needs to be washed often. A few extra sets of gear on hand will allow firefighters to properly clean their gear without being “out of service” until it is dry and reassembled. This will help the department better serve and protect the North Mankato community.
