Space is limited, so pre-registration is recommended. Register online.

There will also be a contest for historic photos, so bring a copy of a favorite old photo of North Mankato to enter the contest.

Shakespeare at Patricks

Gustavus Adolphus College theater students performed Shakespeare at Patricks on Third bar and restaurant in Saint Peter last Wednesday, January 24. The venue was reportedly packed for the show instead of for their typical trivia nights. They performed Cymbeline, a story of an ancient British king and his three children. The king, Cymbeline, is mentioned in chronicles in Shakespeare’s day, and may be historical or may be legendary, according to the Folger Shakespeare Library.

Rep Frederick Visits Mankato YWCA with Walz

State Representative Luke Frederick visited the Mankato YWCA with Gov. Tim Walz and the Blue Earth County Justice Center with Representative Jeff Brand this past month. Frederick heard from YWCA staff, who highlighted accomplishments and spoke about their mission and vision for the future of the organization. The county is seeking funding for a new BCA crime lab in the area and Frederick heard from officials at the justice center about the importance of that project as well. The pair recently joined Senator Nick Frentz at a town hall meeting in Eagle Lake to discuss the upcoming legislative session on February 12.
