THC Edibles & Drinks Still Popular in Minnesota

Hemp-based T-H-C edibles and drinks remain very popular in Minnesota after being legal for more than five months.  State Representative Heather Edelson (ED’-uhl-sen) of Edina says the state law only allows small doses:

“Five milligrams is like having a glass of wine. Of course, you’re going to have a delayed effect and I think that consumers are trying to grasp what that looks like. But you might take a gummy and again the products react differently to everybody’s different body type.”

Edelson says retailers were already selling T-H-C products in Minnesota due to confusion about hemp provisions in the Farm Bill and this law added some regulation.  Some lawmakers claim they didn’t realize the bill legalized small amounts of T-H-C.
