November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, a time to draw attention to Alzheimer’s disease and show support for the more than 6.2 million Americans living with it. During the month, VINE is offering free programming about Alzheimer’s for the public.

Every other Wednesday this month VINE is hosting a free viewing and discussion of featured sessions from the recent virtual Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Educating America Tour. The public is welcome to attend one or all three sessions, facilitated by VINE staff. The first presentation, “Early Detection and Reducing the Risk of Alzheimer’s Disease,” will be held on Wednesday, November 2 from 2-3:30 pm. “Learning, Coping and Surviving as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver,” will be held on November 16 from 2-3:30 pm, and “Safety at Home,” will be held on November 30 from 2-3:30 pm at the VINE Adult Community Center.

More information about VINE and the Alzheimer’s presentations can be found online at vinevolunteers.org or by calling (507) 387-1666. Registration is required to attend the programs.
