Walz pushes for continued investment in travel and tourism

Travel and tourism continue to be a major backbone of the state’s economy. Governor Tim Walz says continued investment in the industry is key for a stronger future:

“We have celebrated the idea that this diversity from the plains of Southern and southwest Minnesota to the lakes of the North Country, to a vibrant city and a city center, all those things have created opportunities. And they’ve created an opportunity that raises standards of living that raised the quality of life.”

Governor Walz addressed travel and tourism leaders from across the state at Explore Minnesota’s annual conference Tuesday in Bloomington.
