Wisconsin Man Sentenced to Jail Time Stemming from Child Sex Sting
An Onalaska, Wisconsin man was sentenced Tuesday in Blue Earth County District Court after being arrested in a child sex sting last December. Steven Charles Houdek, 55, of Onalaska, Wisconsin, who was originally convicted on one count of felony engaging in electronic communication relating or describing sexual conduct with a child, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with credit for three days already served. Houdek was also ordered to pay $1,579 in fines and will be put on 5 years supervised probation after he is released.
Houdek was one of three men who were accused of showing up to or being near a Blue Earth County residence on Dec. 20, 2023, following an online discussion about sex with someone claiming to be a minor living there, according to the criminal complaint.
