Authorities Apprehend Sex Offender in Missouri after Escaping St. Peter Facility
An inmate who escaped from a sex offender facility in St. Peter is back in custody. Steven Edwards was captured yesterday afternoon in the state of Missouri. He fled the Minnesota Sex Offender program in St. Peter on Saturday.
Authorities say Edwards was in Albert Lea that same day, and he bought a 2004 silver Dodge Stratus.
Police have not yet reported how the suspect was able to escape from the treatment center.
