Blue Earth County Regional Household Hazardous Facility Opening April 1st
The Blue Earth County Regional Household Hazardous Facility (HHW) is opening for the 2025 season on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The facility, located at 651 Summit Avenue, will be open noon to 6 pm on Tuesdays, noon to 4 pm on Wednesdays & Thursdays, and the second Saturday of each month from 8 am to 12:00 pm until the end of October. The Product Reuse Center, located within the HHW, will be open during regularly scheduled hours. Residents may drop off waste during open hours without an appointment.
Items accepted at the facility include hazardous wastes from households in Blue Earth, Nicollet, and Le Sueur counties and farm chemicals from Blue Earth County farmers. Proof of residency must be shown upon arrival. Products should be in their original containers, if possible, with labels attached. Examples of items accepted include paints, stains, household cleaners, automotive products, batteries, and yard/garden chemicals. There is no fee for this service.
