DWI arrests up over Labor Day enforcement period this year
Drunk driving arrests were up this year during a Labor Day holiday extra enforcement campaign on Minnesota roads.
“1265 people found themselves under arrest for impaired driving that’s over 100 More than we had at this time last year during the same time period .”
Mike Hanson with the Department of Public Safety says 292 law enforcement agencies across Minnesota participated in the DWI campaign, which included extra patrols, awareness and education.
