Mankato Clinic Foundation announces grant recipients during quarter two

To support health and wellness in our region, the Mankato Clinic Foundation has approved $48,982 in grants to community organizations during quarter two.

Grants approved in quarter two are:

  • $12,500 – Greater Mankato Area United Way, Youth Mental Health Navigator program
  • $10,000 – B the Light, programming for women through the breast cancer journey
  • $7,500 – Wellcome Manor Family Services, parenting program
  • $5,000 – Greater Minnesota Trauma Center, family support program
  • $5,000 – American Red Cross, blood services and equipment in Mankato
  • $3,695 – Loyola Catholic School, fourth grade kindness retreat
  • $2,487 – Mankato Area Zero Waste, organics recycling and educational events
  • $1,800 – Blue Earth County Library, summer learning program
  • $1,000 – Junior Achievement North, BizTown for Greater Mankato schools

Mankato Clinic physicians provide the majority of the foundation funding as a way to give back and support organizations that strive to improve health and wellness in the communities they serve. In the last 10 years, the Mankato Clinic Foundation has provided more than $2 million in scholarships and grants to worthwhile organizations and programs.

Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis and are considered through an application process. More information and applications can be found at www.mankatoclinic.com. The next grant application deadline is June 1.
