A Mankato man is facing multiple charges after he was arrested during a traffic stop in a city park zone where officers say they found methamphetamine and observed signs of drug impairment. According to a criminal complaint filed in Blue Earth County, 47-year-old Jason Lee Good faces four charges, including felony drug possession in a designated zone and gross misdemeanor DWI refusal.

On the evening of June 10, Mankato police stopped a red Pontiac Grand Prix near Washington Park after recognizing the driver, Good, as having a revoked license and an active felony drug warrant. Officers say Good appeared sweaty, twitchy, and had glassy, bloodshot eyes—classic indicators of narcotics use. Field sobriety tests were conducted, and officers say Good failed all of them.

During a search of the vehicle, police found drug paraphernalia, including a burnt foil and a small glass vial with methamphetamine. Although a search warrant was issued for Good’s blood or urine sample, he repeatedly declined to provide one, instead asking for a lawyer—resulting in a gross misdemeanor refusal charge. Good is also charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving after license revocation.

If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines on the most serious charge.
