Mankato Woman Charged in Major Methamphetamine Case Following Drug Task Force Operation
A Mankato woman is facing two felony charges, including a first-degree drug possession count, after law enforcement seized more than 85 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Blue Earth County. According to a criminal complaint filed this week, 36-year-old Jessica Bridget Rosillo is accused of aiding in large-scale methamphetamine sales alongside her husband, Johnathan Rosillo, over the course of several weeks between May and early July.
Authorities with the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force (DTF) began investigating the couple on May 27, when a confidential informant reportedly purchased meth from Johnathan Rosillo at the couple’s Mankato property. During the transaction, which was monitored by agents, Rosillo was observed transferring meth between bags in a detached garage before completing the sale. A cooperating defendant later confirmed that meth use regularly occurred in the garage. The meth sold during that initial buy tested positive and weighed 27.1 grams.
On July 2, DTF agents stopped a Cadillac Escalade registered to Jessica Rosillo after learning the couple was allegedly en route to sell a “large amount” of meth. During the stop, Johnathan Rosillo violently resisted officers and attempted to conceal a glass jar containing over 85 grams of methamphetamine. Investigators believe Jessica Rosillo, who was driving, made several phone calls during the struggle in an attempt to coordinate the hiding or destruction of additional narcotics. She was taken into custody at the scene and remains in the Blue Earth County Jail. If convicted, she faces up to 30 years in prison and/or a $1 million fine on each count.
