MN House Representatives Lisa Demuth (R) District 13A and her colleague Rep. Paul Torkelson said the last hours of the 2024 Minnesota Legislative Session was chaotic and said Democrats could have passed a cash bonding bill that didn’t even require bipartisan support, but sacrificed it for a tax bill instead. Demuth said Minnesotans are demanding more bipartisan cooperation in government but questioned the other side’s commitment. She and Torkelson also explained why Republicans are frustrated with what happened toward the end of the session.
