(St. Paul, MN)  —  More Minnesotans could be eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program starting Thursday.  Higher income limits for SNAP benefits take effect September 1st, meaning another 14-hundred households may be eligible to receive or continue receiving food stamps.  The Legislature acted to raise the limits in its last session, which hadn’t been increased since 2010.
