North Mankato Police Department investigating Death Saturday
On Saturday April 5th, 2025, at 5:17 a.m. officers from the North Mankato Police Department were dispatched to a report of a male party found unconscious and not breathing in the 1634 building of Colony Court Apartments.
Officers arrived on scene, began CPR and administered NARCAN. Paramedics from MAYO Clinic Ambulance arrived and also continued life saving measures.
The male party, identified as Matthew J. Holbrook, age 34 of Winnebago (last known address), was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.
Holbrook’s cause and manner of death will be determined by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office after an autopsy is performed. Officers found signs of narcotic use while on scene.
The case remains under investigation by the MN River Valley Drug Task Force.
