St. Peter Man Charged with Threats of Violence and Obstructing the Legal Process
A St. Peter man was charged with Threats of Violence and Obstructing the legal process after being arrested at a Mankato hotel. Kenneth Alan Day Jr of St. Peter was charged with the following counts:
Threats of Violence, a Felony with a Maximum Sentence of 5 years or a $10,000 fine, or both.
Obstructing the Legal Process, a Gross Misdemeanor with a Maximum Sentence of 364 days or a $3,000 fine, or both.
According to the criminal complaint:
On February 16, 2025, at approximately 10:15 PM, officers from the Mankato Department of Public Safety were dispatched to a hotel in the City of Mankato on a report of a male that had passed out in a restroom stall. Officers, as well as ambulance and fire units, were dispatched to the hotel. Officers entered the bathroom and found that the male, Kenneth Alan Day, Jr., passed out and snoring in a bathroom stall.
Day was uncooperative when officers tried to identify him and then resisted when officers tried to apprehend him. Once Day had been placed in a squad car, he repeatedly threatened officers.
