The state Senate debates and votes today (11am Tues start) on a bill that would provide free school breakfast and lunch to every public school student in Minnesota.

There’s a Senate hearing (830am) on a bill to protect the state’s assets if the Sanford and Fairview health systems merge.  There’s a House hearing (1030am) on a controversial bill that would set up committees at every Minnesota hospital to review nurse staffing and workload.  Advocates march to the Capitol (1215pm) and urge lawmakers to end sale of all flavored tobacco products in Minnesota, including menthol.  A House panel (1pm) debates a bill to require C-O alarms in every sleeping room of hotels and lodging houses.  And a House committee (3pm) discusses a bill that would set statewide standards for schools districts’ active-shooter drills.
