Witnesses Testify No Sign Of Break-In In Heidi Firkus’ Death
(St. Paul, MN) — Witnesses are saying there were no signs of a break-in at the home of Heidi Firkus on the day she was shot and killed. Her husband Nicholas Firkus has pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree premeditated murder and second-degree murder with intent in Heidi Firkus’ death. Nicholas Firkus told police that an intruder entered their home early on April 25, 2010 and he struggled for a gun that went off and shot his wife. Witnesses testified yesterday that the area around the home in the 17-hundred block of West Minnehaha Avenue was quiet the day she died.
