No. 2-ranked Minnesota State forced 35 turnovers and converted them into 40 points, while also setting a new program record with its sixth 100-point performance of the season, surpassing the previous mark of five held by three different teams.

Senior guard Natalie Bremer led the charge with 25 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Adeline Kent added 12 points and three steals, while Hannah Herzig contributed 14 points and seven assists, efficiently making six of nine free throws. Shantell Harden was a defensive powerhouse, recording five steals and adding seven points.

Herzig and Mackenzie Schweim wasted no time, combining for a steal and a fast-break 3-pointer within the opening minute. With precise ball movement resulting in seven assists on 10 made baskets, MSU closed the first quarter leading 23-7, limiting the Jimmies to just three field goals.

The second quarter saw more of the same as Minnesota State maintained its offensive momentum. Bremer’s fast break jumper and Herzig’s three-point play were key as the Mavericks stretched their lead. Despite Jamestown’s attempts to rally, highlighted by Hali Savela’s 3-pointer and Jessika Lofstrom’s efforts in the paint, the Mavericks finished the half ahead 52-37.

Minnesota State’s defense intensified in the third quarter, forcing 10 turnovers and executing a 9-0 run, spurred by Rhyan Holmgren’s and Harden’s transition layups. Offensively, the Mavericks hit their stride with eight baskets, including two from downtown. Ava Stier’s 3-pointer and Bremer’s layup and free throw solidified their commanding 78-50 lead heading into the final quarter.

The Mavericks dominated the fourth quarter, capitalizing on Jamestown’s turnovers with Herzig and Bremer scoring consecutive layups. Bremer added a jumper and a free throw, while Harden assisted Mallory Czinano’s jumper. Defensive highlights included Delaynie Luneckas’ block and crucial rebounds, limiting UJ’s scoring chances.

MSU closed the game strong, with Natalie Mueller sinking two layups in the final minutes. Their relentless defense and efficient offense led to a 29-10 advantage in the quarter, sealing a commanding 107-60 victory.
