39 Confirmed Monkeypox Cases in MN
There are now 39 confirmed cases of Monkeypox in Minnesota. State health officials say the vast majority of cases have been among men who have sex with other men. Today, the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota told CBS News that the outbreak is mostly affecting “highly sexually active gay men.” Dr. Michael Osterholm pointed to a new study that found almost half of people who’ve tested positive likely became infected during group sex.
