$425,000 in Scholarships to be Awarded by South Central College Foundation Friday
South Central College Foundation will award $425,000 in scholarships to students at a special ceremony on Friday, September 5, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the North Mankato Campus Conference Center, located at 1920 Lee Boulevard (enter through Door 15). The event will be attended by students, their families and supporters, faculty, staff, and generous donors who have contributed to SCC scholarships.
Scholarship funds are made possible through donations of all sizes from businesses, organizations, and individuals committed to supporting student success.
“The generosity of our donors is truly inspiring,” said Erin Aanenson, Executive Director of South Central College Foundation. “Their support allows us to invest in students who are working hard to build brighter futures for themselves and our communities.”
South Central College Foundation awards more than $500,000 in scholarships each year and also secures funding to enhance program facilities and equipment.
“These scholarships are more than financial support—they’re a vote of confidence in our students,” said SCC President Ritu Raju. “We deeply appreciate the Foundation and its donors for helping our students thrive academically and professionally.”
Each year, the SCC Foundation awards scholarships based on a variety of criteria including program area, work experience, academic achievement, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and financial need.
