Both sides told lawmakers their stories this morning (Tues) as state Senate and House panels consider a bill that would put abortion rights into Minnesota law.  Tippy Amundson from Brooklyn Park says when she was 20 weeks pregnant…

“We found out that our little boy wasn’t going to be able to grow the way he should.  He wasn’t securely attached to my placenta, and my placenta was growing into my uterus.  It is the single darkest day of my life.  We needed an abortion to save my uterus.”

But Shelly Klaras from Montgomery says she couldn’t go through an abortion at Planned Parenthood:

“I kept my baby and it was incredibly hard, but today she has a beautiful family and she operates a family daycare in a small town in Minnesota.”
