Mapleton Woman Facing Felony Theft and Credit Card Fraud Charges After Gym Locker Incident
A Mapleton woman is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of items from a gym locker and using a stolen credit card in Mankato. According to a criminal complaint filed in Blue Earth County District Court, 35-year-old Allison Faye Winslow is charged with two counts of felony theft, felony financial transaction card fraud, and misdemeanor motor vehicle tampering.
The incident occurred on June 28, 2025, when police responded to a report of theft at a Mankato recreation facility. The victim told officers she had left her car keys in a locker while working out. Upon returning, the keys were missing, and she later found that several items—including credit cards, cash, a backpack, an iPad, and three wedding rings—had been stolen from her vehicle. Surveillance video from the facility showed a black SUV pulling up next to the victim’s car, and staff were able to identify Winslow as the driver using membership records.
Police tracked down Winslow at her residence, where she admitted to the theft and to using the victim’s credit card, stating she disposed of the iPad because she feared it could be tracked. Officers recovered most of the stolen property, which was valued at over $5,000. If convicted on all charges, Winslow faces multiple years in prison and fines totaling tens of thousands of dollars. She remains in custody pending further proceedings.
