Authorities Announce Arrest and Second-Degree Murder Charges in Ongoing Homicide Investigation; Additional Charges Filed

The North Mankato Police Department and Nicollet County Attorney’s office announce that an arrest has been made, and murder charges filed in the May 23rd murder of Tyson Goodsell.

Abdikhadar Fakhi Mohidin, age 20, of St Peter MN, has been taken into custody and has been charged in Nicollet County District Court with:

1) Felony 2nd Degree Murder
2) Felony Attempted 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery
3) Felony Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery
4) Felony Possession of Ammunition/Firearm
5) Felony 1st Degree Assault- Great Bodily Harm
6) Felony 2nd Degree Assault- Dangerous Weapon
7) Felony 2nd Degree Assault- Substantial Bodily Harm

Additionally,
Ahmed Fuad Mohamud, age 23, of Shakopee MN, who is also in custody, has had an amended complaint filed against him adding charges of:

1) Felony Aiding an Offender- Accomplice After the Fact- Obstruction of Investigation- 2nd Degree Murder
2) Felony Aiding an Offender- Accomplice After the Fact- Obstruction of Investigation- Attempted 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery
3) Felony Aiding and Abetting 1st Degree Assault-Great Bodily Harm
4) Felony Aiding and Abetting 2nd Degree Assault- Dangerous Weapon -Substantial Bodily Harm
5) Felony Aiding and Abetting 2nd Degree Assault- Dangerous Weapon

Investigators continue to review evidence, conduct follow-up interviews, and evaluate information gathered throughout the investigation. As additional facts are developed, further arrests and criminal charges remain possible.
