Saint Peter Municipal Utilities and the Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (SMMPA) have awarded two $500 scholarships through the Saint Peter Municipal Utilities/SMMPA College Scholarship Program. This year’s recipients are Riley Kamm and Kameron Ulman.

The scholarship program supports local students pursuing higher education and recognizes academic achievement, community involvement, volunteerism, work experience, and interest in utility-related career fields. The program awards two scholarships annually to eligible students connected to Saint Peter Municipal Utilities customers.

“We are proud to support students from our community as they continue their education and prepare for future careers,” said Pete Moulton, Public Works Director for Saint Peter. “Programs like this are one way we can invest in the future workforce and recognize the accomplishments of local students.”

The Saint Peter Municipal Utilities/SMMPA scholarship program is open to graduating high school seniors enrolling in higher education institutions for the first time. Applicants pursuing utility-related fields such as skilled trades, engineering, business, accounting, and related programs may receive additional consideration during the selection process.

Saint Peter Municipal Utilities and SMMPA congratulate Riley Kamm and Kameron Ulman on this achievement and wish them continued success in their educational journeys.
