Activists say despite another officer guilty plea in Floyd killing, little has changed

Another officer has pleaded guilty in connection with the killing of George Floyd, but activists with “Twin Cities Coalition 4 Justice 4 Jamar” see little change in basic procedures to encourage more trust of the community.  Organizer Jae Yates says:

“Hiring a former officer (Cedric Alexander) as kind of the commissioner of public safety isn’t really that much of a change from how departments are kind of overseen already.”

Yates says the new Minneapolis Public Safety Department is “still not really accountable to regular citizens that live here.”
