Blue Earth County Library is partnering up with SouthPoint Financial Credit Union to host a week-long series.

The Blue Earth County Library is partnering up with SouthPoint Financial Credit Union to host a week-long series titled “Dollars & Sense: A Week of Financial Empowerment.” This series will take place at the library from Saturday, April 13 to Saturday, April 20, and will include engaging and educational events for all ages.

Kids Events

Kids’ events will occur Saturday mornings from 10:30am – 11:30am. Kids can expect to learn how to budget their fake money and participate in fun activity stations, and they can also expect to walk away from the event with a fun prize or two. Adult events will take place during weekdays from 6pm – 7:30pm, except on Friday the 19, which will run from 4pm – 5:30pm. There will be additional adult events on Saturday the 13 from 12pm – 1pm, and on Saturday the 20 from 1pm – 2pm.

Adult Events

Adult events include: How to Talk to Your Kids About Money, Financial Spring Cleaning, Financial Q&A Open Mic Night, Fraud Seminar, Credit 101, Personal Money Management, and Resources in Your Community Expo. Enter your name and preferred contact method into a raffle once per event attended for a chance to win a Scheel’s, Big Dog Sports Cafe, or Jake’s Pizza gift card! Winners will be contacted at the end of the day Saturday, April 20.
