Charitable Ice Fishing Contest Wraps Up At Gull Lake
(Brainerd, MN) — A massive charity ice fishing contest is wrapped up at Gull Lake. The Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza took place over the weekend and attracted almost 12-thousand people. The event has raised four-point-three million dollars for about 45 charities since it began in 1991. Most of the money raised goes toward Confidence Learning Center, a nonprofit that serves people with cognitive and developmental disabilities. Thirteen-year-old Zac Padrnos won the top prize of a Ford F150 after landing the biggest catch with a nearly nine-and-a-half pound walleye.
