Christmas Tree Farms and Lots Open in Minnesota
The Christmas tree season is officially underway in Minnesota. Rum River Tree Farm opened its lots on Black Friday and Austin Kunz says they’re hoping for more snow:
“Very excited for Tuesday to come when get one to three inches. It’s gonna help with sales definitely. It’s gets everybody more in the Christmas spirit with snow on the trees.”
Kunz says they have a good supply of Fraser and Balsam firs and more Canaan (KAY’-nin) firs than usual, which is a mix of the two evergreens. He says prices are up five to six percent this season.
