The latest one-week “Click it or Ticket” campaign netted 1,164 seatbelt citations. Mike Hanson is with the state Office of Traffic Safety:
“Roughly a third of our fatalities that occur every year in Minnesota continue to be because of unbelted drivers and or passengers.”
Hanson says the fine if you’re caught driving unbelted can range from $120-$140.
