County Road 9 Bridge Demolition Progressing

Crews are working to remove a bridge in Blue Earth County that was damaged by flooding last summer. Demolition work on the County Road Nine bridge is expected to last several weeks.

Officials say the work needs to be done before the spring snowmelt to prevent further damage to the structure and the surrounding area.

County leaders are still working on plans to remove the nearby Rapidan Dam, which was also damaged by last summer’s flooding.
