Daunte Wright’s Girlfriend Suing City, Kim Potter Over Injury, PTSD
(Brooklyn Center, MN) — Daunte Wright’s girlfriend is suing the city of Brooklyn Center and former officer Kim Potter in connection with the traffic stop where Wright was shot to death last year. Alayna Albrecht-Payton is asking for at least 150-thousand dollars in damages related to the April 2021 confrontation, where she was a passenger. Albrecht-Payton says she was injured in the incident and still suffers from PTSD after watching Wright die. Potter has been convicted of manslaughter in Wright’s death and was sentenced in June to a two-year prison term.
