Election: Race For MN Governor

Minnesotans are going to the polls today (Tues) to elect the next governor, attorney general, secretary of state, and state auditor… to choose who will represent them in the U-S House, and to elect state senators and representatives.

Returns will likely come in first from the Twin Cities, and Hamline University analyst David Schultz says if Governor Tim Walz does really well in the metro area it could be enough to override Republican challenger Scott Jensen’s support in Greater Minnesota.  On the other hand…

“If the numbers aren’t really good for Walz in the Twin Cities, then it potentially could be a very long night (and) it could be (a) very close night.”

Recent polls indicate a Walz lead in the low single-digits, but the margin of error makes it a tight race with Jensen.
