Farmamerica Hosts Turkey Trot Fun Run and Indoor Farmers Market on November 21st
Farmamerica invites the community to kick off the holiday season with a morning of shopping, movement, and family fun during its annual Turkey Trot 5K fun run and the Waseca County Farmers Market on Saturday, November 21st.
The Waseca County Farmers Market will run from 8 AM – 12 PM inside Farmamerica’s conference room, offering visitors the opportunity to shop local and support area vendors ahead of Thanksgiving. Admission to the farmers market is free, and everyone is welcome.
At 10 AM, participants can lace up their sneakers for Farmamerica’s family-friendly Turkey Trot fun run/walk. Whether running, jogging, or walking, participants can complete the full 5K or enjoy a lap or two at their own pace. Strollers are welcome, making this a fun way for the whole family to get outside and enjoy the season together. Advance registration is required for the fun run. To secure your T-shirt and fun race merch, register by November 10th.
Adding to the holiday excitement, Farmamerica is home to Blossom, the Minnesota turkey pardoned by President Biden at the White House in November 2024. Raised in Northfield, Minnesota, Blossom received his presidential pardon during the National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation and now resides at Farmamerica as an agricultural ambassador.
This morning offers a fun way to kick off the Thanksgiving season. Guests can shop local vendors at the indoor farmers market and enjoy a family-friendly 5K fun run/walk, all in one morning at Farmamerica.
