Flu Outbreaks, Hospitalizations Spike In Minnesota

Flu hospitalizations continue to rise in Minnesota. The state Department of Health reports 108 people were hospitalized last week, compared to 44 the previous week. They say flu season started early this year and expect it to worsen. The Twin Cities have been hit the hardest, making up 87 percent of hospitalizations so far. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the 2022 flu vaccine has 50-percent efficacy against hospitalization from this year’s virus.
